I think it is great that CIS (Cardiovascular Institute of the South) has donated a EKG machine to the Student Health Services Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL).  These machines are very expensive and schools just cant afford to buy or rent them.  They are helping the students get hands on learning and treatment at no additional cost to the school.  Here at Discount Cardiology we offer the lowest price price on your Cardiology supplies.  We carry all brands of EKG machines,  EKG Paper and Electrodes.  Call today and find the best pricing in the country.  Here is the article from www.cardio.com:

CIS Donates EKG Machine to ULL - Tuesday, June 04, 2013
LAFAYETTE—On Thursday, May 9, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) donated an electrocardiogram (EKG) machine to the Student Health Services Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL). Dr. John Patterson, CIS cardiologist, presented the machine to Medical Director, Dr. Marelle Yongue, and Nurse Supervisor, Julia Lognion, RN. (see attached photo)"CIS is committed to supporting the community with education, screening and superior cardiac care,” explained Dr. Patterson. "After meeting with the ULL Student Health Services medical team, it came to our attention that the EKG equipment used to evaluate the students needed upgrading. CIS saw this as an opportunity to give back to the community by donating a better EKG machine.”
Dr. Patterson has also been developing a program with the medical team at the Health Center so that CIS physicians will be accessible to students. In addition, he will be setting up a series of educational opportunities related to cardiovascular disease and prevention for various faculties in the departments of nursing, allied health, biology and marine studies. These sessions are expected to begin in the fall of 2013.
"It is heartwarming to see CIS's commitment to our community which includes an ongoing partnership with athletics, the EKG machine donation and the educational opportunities provided to staff and faculty,” said Dr. Yongue. "We are truly blessed by CIS's generosity.”
